History-making Rusere on the field in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Super 12

Zimbabwean umpire Langton Rusere has made his debut as an on-field umpire at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Super 12 stage.

Rusere already has a gang of accolades including the first black African to stand in Test.

Now he is the first Zimbabwean umpire to stand in T20 World Cup Super 12 have stage, having already done so in the preliminary group matches. He is also the first from his country to umpire at a the global showcase for the format. It is also his 27th T20I overall.

He then served as the TV umpire of the blockbuster tie between Australia and South Africa.

Now Rusere has been chosen as an on-field umpire for the match between Banglandesh and England.
