Scientists develop pain-free blood sugar test for diabetics

And what we cannot help but notice is the lancet a coupe of times a day to draw blood and put it on a test strip. This, for many diabetics, has to be done a couple of times per day.

That is because as it stands, that is the way to check for blood sugar levels. And to avoid the pain, some sufferers end up avoiding the test sometimes.

Now, Australian researchers have developed a saliva test, which will be pain-free.

The new test has an enzyme embedded in transistor that can detect the presence of glucose.

And because the testing material is ink, it can be made through low-cost printing.

The project has now gotten funding from the Australian government to establish a facility to produce test kits should clinical trials be a success.

And they are now working with Harvard to see if the new technology will work for Coid-19.
