We have been hit with the third chapter in Nhoroondo, off the Gwara album.
This one is perhaps the most emotive so far and yet also, the least taken care off.
The long setup at the beginning’s intent is not clear until you are deep into the video, which leaves one slightly confused. It begins to tell a little bit later as we see what the intent was.
Its biggest saving grace is the ending, which gives you some solace for having spent a full seven minutes before watching. It is a reward but the path to it is clumsy, which is a bit annoying.
Now we wait for the resolution.
There could be some easter eggs in there. What is the purpose of the old woman, unless she is a storytelling device? Also, does this set it up Bvumbamirai as the the song used for the season finale of Nhoroondo.
Farai Chapoterera scripts again with Vusa ‘Blaqs’ Hlatshwayo videoing as usual.
