Father Ribeiro declared national hero

Father Emmanuel Ribeiro has been declared a national hero.

The Catholic priest to pneumonia on Thursday at tbe and of 86.

Father Ribeiro famously was in involved in the design of the Zimbabwe flag. President Emmerson Mnangagwa also credited the cleric with saving his life during the aggression with of the settler regime.

Father Ribeiro also composed multiple Shona hymns.

Details on his burial have not been revealed.
