Zambia’s founding president Kenneth Kaunda has died.
Kaunda, who was one of the last of the nationalists of the fight against colonialism in Africa was 97.
He had been hospitalised a few days ago, at the Maina Soko Military Hospital.
Kaunda was president of Zambia from its independence in 1964 to 1991.
Kaunda was one of the founders of the Organisation of African Unity, which would later become the African Union.
