Pro50 Championship roars to life as Zimbabwe domestic action continues

Action is set to continue on the domestic scene with the Pro50 Championship getting underway in Harare this Sunday.

The opening fixtures of the List A competition will see Mountaineers taking on Tuskers, who were crowned the Domestic T20 champions on Friday, at Old Hararians Sports Club.

Across the capital at Takashinga, Rhinos will face Eagles in the other 50-over match scheduled for tomorrow.

Southern Rocks, who won the Logan Cup – Zimbabwe’s first-class championship – in their first season back in top-tier cricket since 2013/14, will get their Pro50 Championship campaign underway on Tuesday against Tuskers at Old Hararians.

On the same day, Eagles will entertain Mountaineers at Takashinga.

After the round-robin is done, the top two sides will meet in the final at Takashinga on 28 April, while at the same time the third-place playoff will be played at Old Hararians.
