3 reasons you should be watching Threesum Zimbabwe

We know what you are thinking.

FROM L To R: Prayersoul, Patience Musa and Alexander Gusha

Threesum Zimbabwe. Yep. The name of the show is provocative and we get it.

But so is the show, but not in the way you are thinking. Although the problem with googling it is that you are likely to get references to Xvideos and Pornhub. Yep they have Zimbabwean porn. Not great porn, but you know… anyway that is not the point. Just Google Threesum Zimbabwe and you will get the point. Just don’t go there and go to the show. They will need to do some heavy lifting on the SEO front there.

Did we just make that feel awkward?

Aaaaanywwwaaaay….

The show is hosted by filmmaker Alexander ‘ZezuruRockster’ Gusha, radio presenter Patience Musa and singer Prayersoul.

And we now delve into three reasons you should watch it just for nje:

  1. The content: It is pretty decent in this respect in that it pushes the edge without being unnecessarily vulgar. The opinions are direct, perhaps leaning towards more shock than liberal. The caricature of subjects is accessible and questions many can relate to are in there.
  2. The cast: In a strange way, this works. You didn’t expect it to but they have views that aren’t too intentionally trying to be different for ratings. They give you the impression that they believe what they think (such as Tamy Moyo getting sexy and thick with the two guys going in on that while Patience being conservative as a mom).
  3. If you are conservative, they are messy: The three are moving the stubborn needle of morality and discussion slightly to the left of a very right-sided spaces. The vodcast feels like little you will see available on the Zimbabwe market.

What we need to work on? Well there is the sound. Yeah, we are sticklers for that. Although no words are lost to the void, you do feel there is work there. You know that.

Secondly, the weave through too many topics without making you feel like there is a change in discussion. So while fully invested in a subject, we are suddenly gone elsewhere. In corporate broadcast media that can be fixed with what they call a radio clock.

Otherwise, it is worth a watch. There is only one episode up and the trailer is below:
