Dereck Chisora looks set to fight Joseph Parker

Zimbabwe-born British boxer Dereck Chisora looks set to finally fight New Zealander Joseph Parker.

The fight was originally supposed to take place in October 2019 but the Kiwi had to pull out after a suspected spider bight.

Now Parker’s manager David Higgins has given Chisora’s side 48 hours to sign for the fight, which is the end of this week, in order to give the Kiwi time to prepare for the fight.

Parker 28-2 (21) scored a 12-round points victory over Junior Fa 19-1 (10) on the weekend. Chisora 31-10 (23) was last in the ring in a close 12-round decision loss to Oleksandr Usyk 18-0 (13) in October.

Both fighters are said to be keen on the fight as it will put them back in the mix for heavyweight boxing.

The bout is most likely to be held in the UK.
