Zimbabwe international Marvelous Nakamba put on a solid performance as his Aston Villa side picked up the coveted scalp of Arsenal with a 1-0 home win the Premier League.
The plaudits will go to Ollie Watkins, whose deflected goal in the second in the second minute was enough to hand the Villains their third home win in a row against the much-fancied North London Giants.
Nakamba was called in to Partner John McGinn and the pair stifled Arsenal.
Nakamba’s figures read:
32 touches
7 Ground duels won
1 aerial duel won
6 Tackles (Most)
2 Clearance
1 interception
He was carded in the game in which he completed 90 minutes but a disciplined Aston Villa kept their 10th clean sheet of the season.
