MUSIC VIDEO: Nutty O & Poptain – Kokai

A few years ago, when you thought of Nutty O and Potain doing a song, you wouldn’t be mistaken for thinking it would be in Patois.

That is because the two artists are fans of the language but they have evolved over he years to perform more in Shona than in Patois.

And that is what they do in this new gem of a track, Kokai.

Until you get to about the minute mark and you are like ahaaa… there comes the Patois.

But moreso with Nutty O, there is more of a mix between the two languages.

The video itself, directed by Leo is entertaining, typically street movement with a gang of people watching.

The song is produced by Dj Tamuka.
