Pakistan name strong squad for limited overs series against Zimbabwe

Besides the omission of veterans Shoaib Malik, Safraz Ahmed and Mohammad Amir have named a strong side for their T20 and ODI series against Zimbabwe.

20 year-old top order batsman Adbullah Shafique finds his way into the squad after impressing in the T20 Cup. He scored 358 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 133 and average of 44.75.

The big pool does not mean all will be in the final squads for ODI and T20s. The T20 and ODI squads will be named later but the 22 allow for the selectors to have many players in the bubble to pick from.
