Raza grabs two wickets as TKR maintain perfect start

Zimbabwe international Sikandar Raza took two wickets and a catch as Trinbago Knight Riders beat Barbadons Tridents by two wickets on Saturday to maintain their unbeaten run in the Caribbean Premier League T20.

He was picked for the second time in a row after returning 1/30 against Amazon Warriors on Thursday.

Raza snagged the wicket of Kyle Mayers with one that was tossed up and turning away. Mayers tried to hit over the bowler only to find Darren Bravo.

The next ball was a wide.

He then accounted for Corey Anderson with a bit of skilled off-spin. Anderson danced down the wicket, it pitched outside off and broke away. The keeper collected and stumped easily.

Raza, who had dropped one earlier, made up for it with a brilliant catch at extra cover to dismiss Rashid Khan.

All in all he returned 2-11 from his one over.

The Tridents made 148/7.

TKR then hunted them down, largely down to a rip-roaring 72 from 28 by Kieran Pollard. Raza made three before he was run out, sacrificing himself for Pollard who was in good nick.

It was close though. TKR got to their target with one ball to spare.
