Stanbic Bank’s new tag line is what we need right now

Stanbic Bank has announced a new tag line, a departure from the enveloping Moving Forward.

As if to take it a step forward the brand spanking shiny new line is It Can Be.

And for Zimbabwe, indeed Africa, this is exactly what we need right now, this particular moment. Less about the rest of Africa but more in Zimbabwe, a lot of individuals have started feeling that their dreams are no longer valid. That jarring feeling is dark, consuming, eliciting emptiness.

It has not been helped by the Covid-19 pandemic, but even before that, those who hold the keys have treated the dreams of many with a lack of exigency.

Many things are postponed, based on whatever totem pole is chosen for the day and meanwhile the young person of the 2000s who was told, just now, is a full adult. The same holders of keys still say, be patient, just now.

Stanbic Chief Executive Joshua Tapambgwa said:

If there ever was an urgency for dreams to come true, now is the time… it is our belief that dreams should never die… because if we can work together it can be.

How the bank itself seeks to achieve this in an increasing nightmarish Zimbabwe, especially when it comes to money remains to be seen.

But the fact that they are telling us that helping make dreams come true is a focus, this is what we need, right here, right now.

Whatever your dream, It Can Be.

Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanbic Bank Investment Corporation (SBIC), which in turn is owned by Standard Bank Africa and is listed on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange. Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe operates as a registered Commercial Bank in Zimbabwe.
