Zim PSL postpones kick-off

The Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League has announced the postponement of its kick-off until further notice.

The postponement is done at a time when noone really knew when the league was meant to start including and bunch of frustrated coaches. What is more, a sponsorship deal with Delta had not been announced.

Tbe announcement is made in light of an announcement by President Emmerson Mnangagwa that all events of more than 100 people would be suspended for 60 days over the threat of Covid-19. As of Tuesday, Zimbabwe had not yet recorded a confirmed case of the disease which has infected over 200,000 people in 146 countries world killing close to 8,000.

Mind you, this might result in the local league adopting an August to June season, something they have since been taking a bit of a dump on.
