US embassy in Harare not processing visas if you’re transiting through these countries

The US embassy in Harare has announced that it is not processing Visas at present if you are going to that country through Europe including Ireland and the United Kingdom.

This comes after US President Donald Trump announced a 30-day ban on flights from that region as the country battles a Covid-19 outbreak.

Initially the United Kingdom and Ireland had been exempted from the ban but because of the open border between Ireland which remains part of European Union’s Schengen visa and UK, the US added them to the list.

The list previously included, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Not sure how one goes through now. UAE perhaps? Some odd African country not on the list? Who knows?
