Namibia confirms first coronavirus cases

Namibia has confirmed its first cases of the novel coronavirus, Covid-19.

It’s a Spanish couple who arrived in the country on Wednesday through Hosea Kutako International Airport, Health Minister Dr Kalumbi Shangula has confirmed.

It becomes the second country in the region after South Africa to have confirmed cases.

Over 132,000 people have caught the disease, confirmed a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. Over 5,000 people have died.
