Information for Travellers Arriving to Zimbabwe

This information is for people who have traveled to territories with confirmed cases of Covid-19.

Ministry’s position on travellers from affected countries to Zimbabwe

As part or its efforts to strengthen fight against the spread of COVID-19 trom affected countries. government hereby advises that as a country we continuento anide by and follow World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines and advice on travel requirements. As Such all With confirrned COVID•19 cases are screened at ports Of entry arrival tn Zirråabwe.

Please note however that travellers arriving from countries with local transmission Of Covid•19 in addition to being screened, advised to self-quarantine 21 days.

Self-quarantine means staying at home and avoiding situations that fasciliatte the transmission of the Coronavirus such as:

  • going to School or other crowded places
  • social gatherings and events ehere you may meet many people

On arrival, travellers with signs and syrnptoms of COVID• 19 (fever, cough. shortness Of breath) are immediately ferried to designated isolation centres as Wilkins Hospital) for further clinical assistance

Recommendations for travellers intending to visit Zimbabwe.

Travellers from affected areas intending to Zimbabwe should delay avoid travel if they have a febrile illness. We advise that travellers from countries with transmission should subject themselves to clinical screening by their medical practitioner before they travel in order to get a medical certificate that indicates that they are clear of signs and symptoms Of COVID-19,

Equally, it is Critical for ALL travelers to avoid unnecessary travel to and from countries with confirmed cases Of COVID-19.

All passengers are advised to practise personal hygiene.
