25 October Anti-Sanctions March declared public holiday

The government has declared 25 October 2019 a public holiday.

This is the day that was declared by the Southern African Development Community (SADC) a day of solidarity against sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the United States. The whole region will engage in one sort of activity or the other as part of the anti-sanctions lobby.

The announcement was made by Acting Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services minister Amon Murwira as part of the cabinet decision matrix on Monday.
