Mapeza named Chippa United coach

We now have former Zimbabwe national team and FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza’s new home after he left the latter.

He left the defending champions last month in a huff and has joined ABSA Premiership strugglers Chippa United.

Mapeza joins on a three-year deal according to Chilli Boys boss Siviwe Mpengesi.

Mapeza is no stranger to the league having played for Ajax Cape Town at some point.

He will be in the stands when Chippa take on Bidvest Wits on Tuesday.

Mapeza won back to back titles and led FC Platinum to the Champions League group stage at the second time of asking.
