Nico Abote has left ZTN and he tells us all about it plus what’s next

TV executive Nico Abote has left the Zimpapers TV Network.

We caught up with the man in an exclusive interview and asked him a few questions about it all.

3-mob.com: Why are you leaving?
Nico: Following my unfortunate car accident in August 2018, I had to take time out and heal. The healing process will be long and as such I decided to seize of my duties with ZTN.

3-mob.com: What will you miss and what did you learn from this?
Nico: ZTN was my life, saw it from the dust to what will be one of the BEST TV content hubs in Zimbabwe since independence. Zimpapers allowed me to grow and explore more within me and entrusted me with such a huge task to develop together an amazing TV Network. I will miss the family we were and the teamwork, we created amazing content together

3-mob.com: What next?
Nico: I will do consulting work within Media and also focus on other ventures as God leads. I’m now with Chengeto Africa as Board Member and Head of Media and Communications… this runs a Radio Show currently on CapitalkFM and StarFM called Issues Pane Nyaya. I’m also a Founding Member of an organization called CG International based in Zimbabwe and Canada.

3-mob.com: Where do you think the future of TV in Zimbabwe lies?
Nico: The future of TV in Zim will be exciting, we are catching up with the rest of the world and our stories will have more players participating in telling them visually and I’m certain this will create the long awaited industry in film and TV productions.
