Magaya convicted over HIV ‘cure’ medicine

Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries leader Walter Magaya has been convicted of contravening the Medicines Control Act after advertising his Aguma medicine which he claimed could cure HIV/AIDS.

He was found guilty of his own plea when he appeared before Harare Magistrate Rumbi Mugwagwa.

Magaya amid pomp and ceremony made the claim in front a of a packed hall and postured as fact that he had the receipts for the whole sh’bang. In mitigation he said the medicine was tested in India.

This prompted a response from authorities which has now seen him convicted.

UPDATE:Walter Magaya’s company has been fined $700 and it must be paid on or before 8 February 2018
