WATCH & LISTEN: Begotten Sun lands punches everywhere with ‘Expect Nothing’

Award-winning producer and rapper Begotten Sun dropped a new song and video today with the title Expect Nothing.

And it takes shots at a lot of the political players in the game. A move from Expect Us, not ideologically but the message is poignant.

Produced by his son teenage Shingi, Begotten Sun writes about the dark space he found himself in through the upheaval. This includes divorce and dabbling in codeine, being targeted and the come up afterwards. He has words both President Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC-A leader Nelson Chamisa. It feels like a South Park season. Noone but the innocent is spared.

The song is dabbling in the dark arts of hip hop.
