Zimbabwe’s Langton Rusere to umpire Women’s World T20 semi-final

Zimbabwean cricket umpire Langton Rusere has been named as one of the on-field umpires for one of the semi-finals of the ICC Women’s World T20 2018 to be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Thursday, 22 November.

He will stand in the middle with Nitin Meon for the tie between Australia and the Windies. Greame Le Brooy will referee that match.

Rusere’s stock continue to rise since his debut in 2015. He was involved in the Women’s Cricket World Cup this year along with U19 Cricket World Cup as well as the 2018 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier. His services were also used in the Caribbean Premier League.

Australia v Windies: Graeme La Brooy (match referee), Langton Rusere and Nitin Menon (on-field umpires), Ahsan Raza (third umpire), Sue Redfern (fourth umpire).

England v India: Richie Richardson (match referee), Shaun George and Claire Polosak (on-field umpires), Gregory Brathwaite (third umpire), Jacqueline Williams (fourth umpire).
