Zambia deny Zimbabwe AWCON spot

Zambia broke Zimbabwe’s hearts with an away-goals rule victory in a AWCON final round qualifier in Harare.

Having lost the first match 1-0, Shepolopolo went behind to an Erina Jeke strike.

Helen Chanda equalised and Zambia got the all-important goal in th 86th minute to deny the Mighty Warriors a spot at the continental showpiece for women’s football set for Ghana later this year.
