Tino Kadewere and Khama Billiat both scored braces in 4-2 win in the Cosafa Cup final at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Sunday.
Zimbabwe took the lead early in the first half after Tino Kadewere took advantage of a mistake by the defence to slot the ball past Toaster Nsabata.
Kambole then equalised four minutes later getting onto the end of a through-pass to put the ball past George Chigova.
Zambia went ahead in the 51st minute when Kambole got onto the end of another pass, rounded the keeper and slotted into an empty net.
It looked like it would be the first loss for coach Sunday Chidzambwa at the end. Zambia hit the base of the post and with the counter attack Billiat set up Kadewere to equalise in the fourth minute of injury time.
Zimbabwe with the wing in their sails made all the play and in the 101st minute Billiat was brought down in the box in the middle of mazy run.
Billiat dusted himself down and sent Nsabata the wrong way.
With Zambia going for an equaliser, Zimbabwe went down the other end, Kadewere unselfishly set up Billiat who made no mistake.

We conceded two silly goals but we kept on going because we wanted this cup. it is really important for me to win the Cosafa Cup. It is my first Cosafa Cup. It is something that will be in my books forever.
Zimbabwe now extend their titles in Southern Africa’s showpiece tournament to six, two ahead of anyone else.
