VIDEO: And then Freshlyground sang ‘Chicken To Chinja’ at Hifa 2018

The song that got Freshlyground barred from the Harare International Festival of the Arts in 2014 was performed at the recent edition’s closing ceremony.

Towards the end it came with some wondering whether it would be performed.

Then clucks of the chicken and those in attendance went wild.

We shot it on a slightly grainy video but history will say, the song that took shots at Robert Mugabe once, did make it to the shores.
