Former Bafana Player Stabbed To Death

Jeffrey Ntuka, the former Under-23 Bafana star was stabbed to death in the early hours of Saturday morning in a local nightclub in the township of Kroonstad in the Free State province.

The 26 year-old was often dogged by issues including alcohol problems.

Ntuka spent six months at Chelsea playing for the reserve team in 2003 before being loaned out to Belgian club Westerlo for five years. He spent two months at Stamford Bridge from December 2008 before returning to South Africa two months later to sign for Kaizer Chiefs. Last season he signed for Supersport United.

The Free State is considered a mid-crime area with 34.1 murders per every 100,000. However this represents a steady increase over the last couple of years.

May his soul rest in peace
