Zimbabwe, Scotland end tied as Afghanistan sneak in after 15 year old felled Hong Kong

Zimbabwe and Scotland took it down to the wire as they ended the match tied at Queens Sports Club in a Group B match in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier.

Zimbabwe won the toss and chose to bat.

Craig Ervine scored a half century while Brendan Taylor fell just short on 48 as Zimbabwe posted 210 all out in 46.4overs as most batsmen failed to fire.

Scotland looked comfortable for a while before they fell to largely to spin, early on from first Tendai Chisoro 3-42 and then Graeme Cremer 3-23.

They found it hard to deal with a stubborn tale and as with Afghanistan left it until very late. Except this time, Blessing Muzarabani got Brad Wheal to nick one to Taylor with the scores tied.

It means Zimbabwe and Scotland take three points to the Super Six stage.

Afghanistan were pushing for a Nepal win and they got it.

15 year-old Rohit Kumar top-scored with 48 as Nepal chased down a 155 for the loss of five wickets against Hong Kong. It means Afghanistan end third on a better net run rate after all three garnered two points.
