Zuma told to resign today

ANC treasurer general Paul Mashatile says today is the deadline for South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma to leave office.

The announcement was made after the Parliament’s ANC caucus met to discuss the decision by the National Executive Committee to recall Zuma.

The announcement on Tuesday did not give Zuma a deadline.

Mashatile said parliamentary processes would not wait on Zuma to respond.
