Spare A Thought This Christmas

There is a tendency of humans not to worry about the fate of people we do not know or who we know but live far away from us. We usually point to our own problems as justification why we should not do anything to help those in need.

No matter how difficult things are financially for humans we always have the capacity to share and help the next person. That ability is what makes us humans and makes us so different from all other species because we have the ability to care.

As we eat and drink and make merry this Christmas lets spare a thought for the less fortunate. We are not just referring to those starving in the horn of Africa but those closer to us. If you look around amongst friends, family and in your community you will find someone in need.

Yes, we can’t stand Christmas but ah well…
