Rooftop just sent us a press release stating that their hugely successful play Sinners? is being turned into a feature film.
The Patrick Chasaya-written play enjoyed a successful run at Theatre In The Park. The movie will be shot in different locations in Harare from 20 December 2011.
It will be directed by NAMA Award winner Patience Tawengwa and produced by Daves Guzha. Blessing Hungwe is the screenplay writer.
The cast will include those who were in the play as well a vast array of other talented performers. Some of the names are Getrude Vimbayi Munhamo,Sarah Mpofu, Chipo Bizure, Yvonne Mangunda, Tapiwa Mavingidze, Tafadzwa Hanandah, Nothando Nobengula, Lovejoy Mawoneka and Norman Kanyimo.
Sinners? is a take on the recent female rapist story that has been in the headlines for a good part of this year.
