Zimbabwe to appoint temporary local coach for national team – Chiyangwa

Zimbabwe will not appoint a permanent national football men’s team coach before competitive action returns.

That is the position given by the Zimbabwe Football Association president Dr Philip Chiyangwa

He was speaking to Mike Madoda on a special edition of ZiFM Stereo’s The Platform on Monday evening.

Chiyangwa said he felt former coach Kalisto Pasuwa had done his best on assignment in Gabon at the Africa Cup of Nations but needed to get further training, something the Zifa boss says he would be willing to help the former gaffer with.

Chiyangwa instead says an acting coach will be installed for the one AFCON 2019 qualifier this year as well as CHAN and Cosafa ties.
