Khama closer as he makes CAF award final list

Zimbabwe international Khama Billiart is one step closer to being crowned the CAF African Player of the Year based in Africa after the final three were announced.

Billiart who won the CAF Champions League with is Mamelodi Sundowns is joined by club teammate Dennis Onyango from Uganda and TP Mazembe’s Rainford Kalaba.

Gabonese midfielder Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Algeria Winger Riyad Mahrez and Senegalese Winger Sadio Mané have made the final top three for the 2016 African Player of the Year.

The winners will be unveiled at the Glo-CAF Awards Gala on Thursday, 5 January 2017 in Abuja, Nigeria.
