Humans could be extinct in 1,000 years – Hawking

Theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking says our days on earth are numbered.

He said our ‘fragile planet’ earth could not sustain us beyond 1,000 years during a talk at Britain’s Oxford University Union.

Hawking says artificial intelligence could make or break us and that humans should really start looking at another planet to live on. And NASA has been looking at that option seriously since 2009.

Global warming, engineered viruses, autonomous nuclear capability, antibiotic resistant diseases and many more are real threat to the human race at present. The fear is that humans tend not to learn from their past so mistakes will be repeated at greater scales meaning apocalypse at the hand of humans is real possibilty.
