Harare mayor suspended

It is always weird at Town House isn’t it?

Well Harare mayor Bernard Manyenyeni has been suspended over his appointment of former NMB Chief Executive as town clerk.

Harare

The central government told Harare’s local government to rescind the appointment after which the city’s council went to court to get a high court order.

Obviously, central government is not a fan of this sort of thing and now Manyenyeni finds himself suspended from Town House for both appointment and defying the order.

The Zimbabwe government insists the appointment is illegal and did not follow procedure.

Manyeneni will appear before an authority to answer the allegations laid against him.

This would have been fun if everyone had water, right?
