Big Brother Hotshots was the last version of the show in 2014

We sent out a few questions to MNet to find out what was going on given we didn’t have Mzansi earlier this year and there is that silence over the bigger version of it.

Here are is the exclusive interview with 3-mob.com

We seemed to have missed Big Brother Mzansi. What was the reason? Not at all. Big Brother Mzansi is not part of our upcoming programming schedule/lineup but we are currently busy with other regional Big Brother productions – with Big Brother Angola being the most current production to take place (13 March – 22 May 2016)

Will we have a Big Brother Africa season? At the moment, the team are busy re-evaluating the strategic direction of Big Brother Africa. Be assured that when it comes back, it will be bigger and better!

Are there any other reality TV shows you are looking at that will involve the rest of Africa? MultiChoice Africa continuously looks forward to introducing new and exciting local talent to viewers. Viewers should continue to expect the best of international and world class, local entertainment content from M-Net and the Africa Magic group of channels. Our newest telenovela, Hush, for instance promises to be a hit with viewers across Africa when it launches in April as it features a stellar cast and some of the best writing seen on television. Also, next month on 10 April, The Voice: Nigeria will kick off on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Urban and will be available to all our subscribers on the continent. Our channel suppliers are constantly exploring formats and exciting productions that include other regions across our DStv & GOtv platforms like the recent karaoke singing competition called Tecno Own the Stage which was open to Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania and an exciting presenter search competition for The Zed Top 10 show on Zambezi Magic which took place in Zambia. The BET channel is also currently showcasing an exciting reality show Top Actor Africa which features participants from across the continent. Keep watching this space for further announcements regarding new and exciting productions from M-Net!

We know you’re reading re-evaluating and strategising but there you have it. Sounds like a no but they didn’t actually say no so… erm
