Vendor Deadline Extended Again As Court Nixes Use Of Force

Zimbabwe’s High Court has ruled that the state cannot use force to remove thousands of vendors across the country.

The judgement handed down on Monday by High Court Judge Felistas Chatukuta could not do so and added the that these vendors had no opportunity of of making a living beyond vending illegally.

Meanwhile Harare town clerk Tendai Mahachi is being quoted as saying the deadline for relocation had now been moved to 26 June.

Remember we had reported that the state had given itself until 17 June to get organised but now it is looking a lot more complex than they imagined.

Kinda what happens when you say things without really thinking of the plan.
