African Women Awards Invite Nominations

The African Women Awards are calling for nominations for this the inaugural edition.

Nominations are possible in 3 ways:

   1. University of Zimbabwe
   2. Harare Institute of Technology
   3. Bindura University of Science and Education
   4. Midlands State University
   5. Great Zimbabwe University
   6. National Institute of Science and Technology
   7. Chinhoyi University
   8. Mutare Polytechnic
   9. Kushinga Phikelela Polytechnic College, Marondera

Nominations close on 10 July 2015 and nominees must not have a criminal record or be suspected of any illegal dealings.

The brainchild of Carol Nyazika and Lisa Chiriseri, the awards seek to create and recognise new young female role models within Zimbabwe, Africa in general and the Diaspora.

AWA aspires to create the right conditions for the emergency of new African women who can stand up to the challenges of a modern world without diminishing the tenets of African values.
