#XenophobicSA: Army To Be Deployed In Alexandra, KZN As Zim Couple Attacked

The South Africa national army is to be deployed in Johannesburg’s Alexandra and parts of KwaZulu Natala as news of an attack on a Zimbabwean couple was delivered.

Minister of Defence Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula revealed that the couple had been shot and taken hospital. Police had requested assistance after this.

She also said the brutal killing of Emmanuel Sithole meant the state had come in and take over.

She said that response was in response to a crisis.

Meanwhole 906 foreigners have opted for voluntary repatriation.

Over 400 Zimbabweans have received assistance from the Zimbabwe government so far to return home.
