Man Lands In Jail Over Gono-Inspired Change To Note

A man took his inspiration from former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Gideon Gono a bit too far after making a change to a note.

Godness Owen Godha had a $5 note and he felt that was not enough, so what did he do?

He just put a zero on the note. We kid you not.

Using a green marker he added the zero and went off to the pub to buy a beer. How he thought noone would notice that a green marker was not the sort of thing they use on notes in the United States our guy went and did that.

Our guy probably thought this was the early to mid 2000s again when Dr Gono would just add zeros from time to time in his chess game with inflation and all that,

Now he will spend three months in  prison for his moment of brilliance.

You can’t make that type of stuff up. You just can’t.
