What a 70 Year-Old Bob Marley Would have Brought To The World

If Bob Marley was alive he would have turned a nice juicy 70, today, 6 February.

One of the greatest artists ever changed the face of the third world by being a poster child to a rebellious sound and spirit pushed by his belief in human beings and his version of a higher power.

Vivien Goldman in an article The Guardian quoted Bob Marley when he said:

Me no really say no bad things about no one, cause me have a full heart. That is a sign of being an ignorant and undisciplined human being. Me prefer just to understand the situation and suss it out and say what is right and what is wrong.

You felt it in his music and saw it in his recorded live perofmances.

But a legacy needed to exist in a space so as to become the rallying point of future angers and the sort. It really was.

So what would a Bob Marley, alive have meant for the world right now?

The idea sounds rosy because the idea seems to be that people remain the same and they never change. Even worse, if the person does not change, the perception of the world of them evolves and someone who was a hero suddenly becomes a villain because of the fleeting arguments for existence that people have.

Bob Marley’s legacy is in its ability to transcend time without it being trapped in the human form. The faults we see in people sometimes cloud the good in people. We live in a world that worries more about the messenger than the message.

Bib marley was more than a musician. He was real people.

If Bob Marley was alive, would we still listen to his message?
