The last available episode of South African sopaie Generations was screened on SABC1 this Tuesday evening.
The show will now go offline for two months and return revamped after its current cast was dumped en masse over strike action.
After a 20-year run this will be an interesting time for the soap. The send-off, for a soap whose storyline was gasping for air, was underwhelming, characters by poor picture quality and an opening sequence that was all over the place. This is not to mention the weird advert that found its way onto the sow somehow.
Viewers were not amused:
Watching this episode is playing with my eyes….. What's going on? Why does it look like this!! #generations

Some said they wanted to have an hour long special but let’s face it, they can only screen what they have isn’t it?
Some couldn’t be bothered though:
#Generations has always been overrated glad it over
