Eric Bloch Dies

Economist and former quiz master Eric Bloch dies.

A man known not to mince his words, calling it like he saw it, the Bulawayo-based Bloch passed away on Saturday night, we are told.

As an economist he was known for his frank speech which often made him unpopular in some circles for being a bit too doom and gloom but he was respected all the same.

We remember Bloch as school kids as a very capable and brilliant quizmaster. His authority and skill of presentation was unparalleled and Zimbabwe loses a brain in so many ways.

Zimbabweans have expressing their loss, right through fro David Coltart, Nigel Mugamu, Fungai Tichawangana to Trevor Ncube among many,.
