STI Infections Go Up

The National Aids Council has released some creepy statistics on Sexually Transmitted Infections in the country.

Have people stopped using condoms as consistently as they should?

We’ve recorded a 19% surge in STIs according to the NAC’s second quarterly report, people. Not a good look. And 16% of that is HIV infection.

Weep.

28,248, 480 condoms, up roughly 3 million from the quarter before. So if we are to average that out, let’s say 7 million are having sex in Zimbabwe – we’re being conservative here. Half of them are married so we are on 3.5 million but let’s say 500,000 of those who are married are cheating which means we go up to 4 million That means they are using 7 condoms each – in three months. You see how that doesn’t make sense right? Because then it means there were people out there sticking their unmentionables in people’s holiest of holies without, well, protection.
