VIDEO: 21-year Old Zimbabwean Tech Startup Founder Interviews Obama

21-year old tech startup founder Takunda Chingonzo on Tuesday interviewed US president Barack Obama at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit.

Chingonzo who founded Saisai a wireless Internet startup. He talked to President Obama for about 30 minutes (the interview starts 18 minutes into the video below).

Among the issues Chingonzo touched on had to do with sanctions – inability of Zimbabweans to do business with American. Obama’s answer suggested that the inability to do business was expected but suggested that groups of entrepreneurs sit down with the Americans and specify needs with a view to having them served.

Obama said he wanted to make sure that small businesses had opportunities from the billions of dollars targeted at Africa.

Chingonzo also challenged Obama on net neutrality.

Chingonzo is in the US on Young African Leaders programme.
