One of Zimbabwe’s most popular DJ’s – RayDizz has just won the Miller Soundclash competition after beating some of Southern Africa’s most talented disk jockeys to the coveted prize.
The competition consisted of three stages where the DJs had to submit a 10 minute mix that incorporated EDM, Afro House, Hip-Hop, RnB and Zim Dance Hall. The first stage of the competition consisted of the mixes being submitted to radio. The second stage was a series of live mix battles held in clubs across the region & the final battle was held on Saturday the 14th at Pariah State.
A team of judges then determined that RayDizz had displayed the best combination of raw talent, stage presence, & crowd control.
As part of his prize RayDizz will be performing this Saturday (21st of June 2014) at The Glass House (Borrowdale Race Course) as the Miller SoundClash Tour arrives in Harare. RayDizz will share the stage with South African stars Khuli Chana, DJ Fresh, DJ Euphnik & DJ Naves at an invite only event hosted by Millers Genuine Draft.
Apart from that, RayDizz will also receive the following as part of prize;
- The chance to play the opening set alongside a superstar DJ at the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs in the World party at Marquee Club, Las Vegas.
- Play at the Miller SoundClash showcase finale held at a top, VIP Las Vegas location and live-streamed around the globe courtesy of DJ Mag.
- Return flights to Las Vegas for RayDizz and a friend, including airport transfers and VIP travel within Las Vegas.
- Four nights luxury accommodation at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for RayDizz and a friend.
- VIP entry to world famous Las Vegas clubs Hakkasan, LIGHT and Marquee.
- An exclusive industry networking session with bookers, agents, promoters and DJ talent in Las Vegas.
