Bonang Quits SABC

Mzansi’s It Girl Bonang Matheba has quit the SABC.

It would seem that it was related to her being part of the Supersport World Cup show. SABC had told her a few days ago that she was not allowed to take part in the show as it did not want any of its on-air talent working elsewhere.

At that point it seemed to have been to bed when the SABC said Bonang would not be part of the Supersport World Cup show.

Bonang is part of the Supersport World Cup show which debuted on Satirday and it seems as if the SABC bosses are having none of it so she decided to move on and so the two have gone their separate ways.

Meh!

She didn’t seem too upset on her twitter:

So no Bonang on Metro anymore.

UPDATE: Bonang confirmed the news in a statement said:

My future potential cannot be jeopardised by accepting terms that will not grow my career. I could not agree to the SABC’s blanket terms – in restricting me to work with other broadcasters, even though my contract with them was on radio.
