Afghanistan’s cricket tour to Zimbabwe has been cancelled.
According to ESPNCricinfo the associate nation was supposed to come to Zimbabwe for One Day Internationals and T20 matches later this month. The cancellation is due to the financial issues dogging the local game.
The domestic calendar hangs in limbo while players strike over unpaid salaries. There is no return date for the matches.
This will be six months without cricket for the national team and no practice matches before the T20 World Cup.
Oh well…
