The inaugural Miss Heritage World finals which were supposed to be held this past Friday failed to kick off and will now take place this coming Friday.
The organisers tried to salvage it by changing venues from HICC to Wild Geese Lodge but it didn’t work out.
Now they say the event will be held at a venue that will be announced in due course this coming Friday.
Tare Munzara chairman of the pageant expressed his disappointment with the government for ditching his team at the last minute after numerous promises of support in the run-up. He said that the show was being run out of private funds now and an opportunity was being missed to impact on how the world viewed Zimbabwe.
20 contestants are in Zimbabwe after some failed to acquire vizas via the online system. They have been moved from the Stephen Margolis Resort and are now housed at Holiday Inn.
