Cricket Great Says Farewell

The second Test match between India and the West Indies will be the last international appearance of one Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

His last Test match against West Indies will be his 200th, in a game where he has scored an impressive 15,000 Test runs, 18,000-plus one-day international runs, 51 Test centuries and 100 international centuries.

Those figures are certainly most astounding and we suspect it will take a long time before they are surpassed. Some analysts say it is highly unlikely they ever will.

The player also known as the “Master Blaster” broke onto the international cricket scene aged 16, and the fact that he has stayed at the top of his game until the age of 40 is remarkable.

On the boat we love watching a good match of cricket and Sachin certainly gave us a few. Although he was a menace when playing against our beloved Zimbabwe he still was a joy to watch.

Here are some of the memorable centuries Tendulkar scored against Zimbabwe.
